Job Summary: Exquisite Solution Limited is seeking a qualified Community Liaison Officer to support our client in the oil and gas sector. The role is responsible for assisting in the execution of the company’s national content strategy and related initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with local governments and coordinate with Ugandan authorities.
- Handle community affairs and engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate with media outlets and manage publications, advertisements, and public communications.
- Address and manage public relations crises.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses as required.
- Provide certain administrative services related to operations.
- Oversee national and local content initiatives.
- Coordinate recruitment of unskilled workers from the local community.
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., Petroleum Act 2013, Petroleum Regulations, National Content 2016), including verification of reports from subcontractors and internal departments.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, Social Work, Social Development, Community Psychology, or a related field.
- 2 years’ experience in Public Relations and National Content-related work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in negotiations and conflict management.
- Good computer skills, with the ability to prepare reports and perform basic data analysis.
