Job Title: CAD Technologist (Civil/Architecture)

Job Summary: The CAD Technologist will be responsible for translating engineering and architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings, plans, and models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. This role supports both civil infrastructure and building projects, ensuring all designs are accurate, compliant with industry standards, and ready for construction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Drafting and Design:
- Create, modify, and finalize 2D and 3D drawings (e.g., plans, elevations, sections, details) for civil and architectural projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit.
- Develop detailed construction drawings for site layouts, drainage systems, road profiles, structural components, and architectural features.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to local building codes, engineering standards, and company specifications.
Model Management:
- Assist engineers and architects in creating and maintaining accurate BIM (Building Information Modeling) models when required.
- Manage and organize drawing files, templates, and libraries efficiently.
Collaboration and Review:
- Work closely with the Geotechnical Engineer and Project Managers to integrate technical data and design changes seamlessly into the drawing set.
- Review and verify drawings for completeness, accuracy, and dimensional consistency before submission.
Documentation:
- Prepare print-ready plots, detailed material schedules, and quantity take-offs directly from drawings/models.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in CAD drafting, specifically supporting civil infrastructure (roads, drainage, utilities) and/or building design projects.
- 5 years of general Professional Experience
- Technical Skills (Mandatory): High proficiency in AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or similar BIM software is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international drafting standards and building codes.
