Avanti Energy Services Limited (Avanti) is a Ugandan national company, which engages in providing services to the upstream oil and gas production industry within Uganda. Avanti was awarded a contract by a major oil and gas service company to source and employ in excess of 100 Ugandan engineers, technicians, operators and laborers to support their oil drilling operations within Uganda.
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Officer to drive company growth by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and expanding our presence in the energy, construction, and industrial sectors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic sales plans
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients
- Lead preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and tenders
- Conduct market and competitor analysis
- Represent the company at industry events and establish partnerships
- Maintain sales records and prepare performance reports
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, HR, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 3-5 years in Business Development, Sales, or Recruitment
- Experience in proposal preparation and client acquisition
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Self-driven with ability to work independently and meet targets
