Job Summary: We are looking for a creative, agile and result driven individual to fill the position of Treasury Supervisor.
Job purpose:
To identify, evaluate and manage investment and funding opportunities for the company and ensure accurate and timely regulatory and management reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Investment
- Evaluate and manage investment and funding opportunities for the company.
Liquidity Management
- Negotiate with banks/other entities for a profitable investment of excess liquidity and in compliance with the existing regulations.
- Ensure that there is access to Liquidity, and proper management of Liquidity at the Branches.
- Source for the lowest cost possible funding through projections of bank’s activities.
Administration
- Focal point for any Treasury issues between the company and the Banks/other Financial Institutions
- Act as Secretary to the Asset Liability Management committee (ALCO), Board (ALCO) and responsible for availing the ALCO with the necessary information for decision making purposes.
Forex management and monitoring
- Ensure profitable running of the forex operations in the bank
- Ensure close monitoring of the forex position
Regulatory and financial Reporting
- Prepare, analyze and ensure timely and accurate submission of required reports to regulatory agencies (BOU) as well as to the Management funders.
- Prepare and manage the, weekly and Monthly cash flow projections.
- Check and approve bank reconciliation statements and follow up on any unreconciling items.
- Monitor compliance with funders’ regulations and agreements.
- Any other business as required by your Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in BCOM or other business relevant course
- Professional Course such as ACCA or CPA is an added advantage
- 3 years’ experience in a financial institution in the finance and Treasury department
