Job Title: Temporary QuickBooks Support Assistant (Fresher Jobs)

About Organisation:
In 2005, Bantwana Initiative Uganda was founded to support the fourth wave of the HIV epidemic impact on communities that saw a massive increase in Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Since local registration, Bantwana has strengthened its collaboration with local leaders as well as focused community efforts which emphasizes holistic care for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). Bantwana has addressed compounding vulnerabilities especially those affected by poverty, HIV, and gender-based violence, which are affecting adolescent girls and boys as well as younger children-through parenting programs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter data into QuickBooks Online and manage the updating of budget data.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting that complies with the organization’s standards.
- Provide training and support on QuickBooks to the finance officer and other users for effective financial reporting and analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records within QuickBooks.
- Generate and analyze various financial reports, such as Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements, and customized reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Perform general ledger maintenance and make journal entries.
- Troubleshoot technical issues within QuickBooks (e.g., balancing balance sheets, fixing bank feeds).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks: In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online.
- Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of basic and advanced accounting principles.
- Financial Reporting: Ability to generate accurate financial statements and custom reports.
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for ensuring accuracy in financial records.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Time Management and Organizational Skills: Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Relevant Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is highly valued and demonstrates expertise.
