Job Summary: The Supervisor ensures the smooth operation of the service area, overseeing staff, managing customer service, and maintaining standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of waiters, waitresses, cashiers, and baristas.
- Greet guests, handle reservations, and manage table seating.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor service quality and ensure all staff adhere to service protocols.
- Open and close the establishment, handle cash reconciliations, and prepare daily sales reports.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and provide ongoing training and guidance to staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality Management is a plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a supervisory role within a restaurant or cafe.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems.
