The company owns and operates Quality Hill mall along Ggaba Road close to the American Embassy in Kampala Uganda. It also operates a boutique hotel, Le Petit Village, a French pastry shop, La Patisserie, and a European cuisine restaurant, Le Chateau Brasserie Belge.
Job Summary: Sokoni Africa Limited is looking for a qualified and experienced Security Manager to join our team. As the Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of our hotel premises, guests, and staff. Your role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing security incidents.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols in line with best practices
- Oversee the security team, providing training and guidance to ensure effective performance
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to incidents or emergencies promptly
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed
- Implement safety protocols for guests and staff, enhancing the overall security of the hotel
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and prepare reports for management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Security Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, systems, and emergency procedures
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage crisis situations
- Certification in security management or law enforcement is a plus
