The African Youth Action Network (AYAN) is a youth-led organization fronting youth as champions for social and economic development. Founded in June 2015, our mission is to harness and nurture refugees and young people’s personal, community and national aspirations to promote peace and development through informed, innovative and value driven approaches.
Job Summary: AYAN is looking for a Project Lead to champion our SOLCO Partnership, bringing solar electric cooking to refugee and host communities in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate project rollout in target settlements.
- Manage budgets, plans, and deliverables.
- Strengthen partnerships with local authorities, MDAs & private sector.
- Promote gender inclusion & community participation.
- Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the project.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Energy, Environment, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience (preferably in refugee settings).
- Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
