Job Summary: eTranzact Platform Ltd, a leading African financial technology company, is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Professional Driver to join our growing transport fleet in Kampala. As a vital team member, you will ensure safe, efficient transportation for executives, staff, and operations—contributing to Uganda’s fintech boom in a dynamic, innovative environment.
We’re hiring a reliable, safety-first Professional Driver for our Kampala fleet. You’ll transport executives, staff, and support operations—ensuring punctual, secure journeys in a high-growth fintech powerhouse.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical and functional presentations and product demonstrations
- Safely drive company vehicles (sedans, SUVs, or pool cars) for staff/executive pickups, drop-offs, errands, and business travel across Kampala, Entebbe, and beyond.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, report maintenance issues, and ensure full roadworthiness compliance.
- Optimize routes using GPS and local expertise to navigate Kampala traffic efficiently while minimizing fuel use.
- Strictly follow traffic laws, defensive driving standards, and company safety policies.
- Assist with loading/unloading (e.g., POS devices, documents) and provide professional passenger support.
- Keep accurate records: logbooks, fuel logs, and incident reports.
- Be available for on-call duties and urgent transports.
- Uphold eTranzact Platform’s professional image at all times.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum O-Level certificate or equivalent.
- Valid Class B Driver’s License with at least 5 years of professional driving experience in Kampala’s urban traffic.
- Clean driving record: No accidents or violations in the last 3 years.
- In-depth knowledge of Kampala roads, highways, and alternative routes (e.g., Entebbe Road, Northern Bypass).
- Excellent communication in English (additional languages a plus).
- Physically fit, sharp eyesight, no disqualifying health issues.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
- Tech-comfortable: GPS apps (Waze/Google Maps), mobile reporting,
- digital logs.
- Honest, punctual, discreet, and service-oriented.
