Job Summary: The Materials Tech provides solutions to problems in the material management discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and scientific procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the attention to detail is high while performing physical material management activities (offloading, receiving, counting, picking, packing, issuing)
- Ensure the Material Safety Data sheet is received in the case of Dangerous Goods items
- Update the MRCL (Material receiving checklist) and the GRN (Goods Receiving Note)
- Update Transactions in the Material Management System called Smart Materials.
- Adhere to policy and procedure for all practices so that business is handled efficiently
- Participate in all Safety Programs and observations after attending the necessary training and all other safety presentation as nominated
- Understand and consistently use Material Management procedures as established in company policies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree/Foundation (or equivalent) in relevant discipline or HSD/GED/IGCSE or 2 years of relevant experience
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Effective verbal and written communication
