Job Summary: The Manager Strategy & Transformation will report to the Head Strategy, Data & Projects and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for the design, coordination, and monitoring of strategic and digital transformation initiatives within the Bank, ensuring adaptable and forward-looking strategy execution informed by emerging trends, innovation, and internal capability building. Accountable for the successful delivery of these initiatives, providing value to the Bank, as well as for delivering insightful market intelligence and competitor analysis to Management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include: –
- Support development of the short-term and long-term Bank strategic plans
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable transformation roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
- Lead execution and tracking of major transformation initiatives, ensuring integration across departments.
- Identify and explore innovation opportunities to drive operational efficiency and customer value.
- Play a leading role in the implementation of sustainability frameworks (e.g., SSCI) as part of the transformation agenda.
- Oversee research and analysis of market trends, customer behavior, and innovation landscapes.
- Champion digital transformation across business functions, fostering adoption of new technologies.
- Drive agile experimentation and prototyping of new business models, products, and services.
- Ensure integration of digital solutions into business processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for transformation initiatives, including success metrics for strategic outcomes.
- Ensure timely reporting on initiative progress, transformation health, and strategic impact.
- Coach analysts and other transformation team members on frameworks, tools, and strategic thinking.
- Facilitate collaboration across departments, aligning diverse stakeholders around transformation goals.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, change management, and continuous improvement in strategic execution.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related field Should have at least one of the following certifications; CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CEH, CHFI and CASP+ or other certifications at the discretion of direct line manager.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in IT is required, with at least two of those years specifically involving cybersecurity responsibilities. Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, DLP, IAM, and encryption technologies.
- Strong knowledge of cyber threat intelligence, red/blue team operations, and crisis management. Experience in designing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and risk management frameworks.
- Ability to link and apply cybersecurity technologies to business strategies and high proficiency in threat intelligence and security operations.
- Strong understanding of financial services cybersecurity landscape, regulatory compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST).
- Strong skills in Agile Project Management with focus on cybersecurity program execution is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding and experience in securing digital banking services, mobile banking applications, and fintech platforms.
