Job Summary: Mitooma SACCO is seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position as detailed below.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Credit Manager, the loans officer will provide the following Technical Assistance.
- Attending group meetings and provide guidance in order to keep groups focused so that they may be able to realize the aims and objectives for which they are established
- Appraising loan applications and making recommendations to the credit supervisor on such intending borrowers.
- Initiating timely processing of all disbursements for approved loans falling in your area of responsibility, including receiving, checking and filling all documentation that is part of conditions for such disbursement as stipulated in the loan agreement.
- Carry out regular client monitoring visits to ensure that loan funds are used for the purpose for which they are granted.
- Ensuring that clients are continuously reminded to comply with their repayments, obligations and to provide technical
- support to clients as and when required
- Overseeing loans in the area of responsibility to ensure timely payments, recovery of over dues and quality growth of the overall portfolio.
- Preparation and submission of loan portfolio reports to the credit supervisor within the prescribed time frame to facilitate timely management action.
- Retention of existing loan clients and recruitment of new intending borrowers in the prescribed area of operation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Should have at least a Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting or Finance related courses from a recognized institution, a Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage.
- Must be computer literate
- Working experience of at least one year in a recognized financial institution
- Should be trainable and able to work in any of our SACCO branches
- Capable of riding motorcycle
- Aged between 22- 35 years.
