Job Summary: This position is designed to support the planning and execution of projects, manage relationships with implementing organizations and oversee training of member-focused humanitarian initiatives. The core purpose is to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and those in need, and provide opportunities for giving and service. It also involves assisting members in preparing for and responding to disasters and in delivering humanitarian aid to relieve suffering and build self-reliance among people of all nationalities and faiths. This position includes the development of high-quality concept notes and project proposals aligned with the Area strategy, humanitarian project planning, approval, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The role also involves working with priesthood councils to implement impactful initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight into humanitarian project implementation to ensure strict compliance with policies, procedures, standards, timeliness, cost-effective and high-quality delivery of project activities.
- Involved in evaluation and review of construction and refurbished facilities.
- Ensure systematic and effective implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning programs including but not limited to extensive and regular field visits to humanitarian project locations and implement corrective measures to keep projects on the right track for achieving the planned results.
- Liaise with and foster strategic relationships with government and other local partners, as needed.
- Organize planning meetings with relevant parties to develop an annual work-plan and corresponding budget plan with clearly stated milestones contributing to the achievement of target outputs defined in the Area Humanitarian Annual Plan.
- Ensure strong accountability to beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
- Ensure efficient logistics management for timely project delivery by overseeing procurement contracting, implementation, and evaluation of employed goods, supplies, and services.
- Organize regular meetings collaborating with organizations, services providers, and stakeholders to assess work progress, discuss challenges and constraints, and provide guidance and support.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Must be worthy of a Temple Recommend
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying and Construction or related field, preferably Quantity Surveyor(QS).
- Proven willingness to serve and help others, with excellent Project Management skills.
- At least 5 years of related work experience.
- Familiar with the use remote meeting software when face-to-face meetings are not possible.
- Have advanced office skills, highly efficient with computerized business applications (spreadsheets, tables, forms, charts, etc.).
- Excellent research, analytical and data summation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and be able to work within a team.
