Job Title: Fund Accountant

Octagon Africa Financial Services is an award winning leading regional financial services company with significant industry consolidation within the non-profit, public and private sector in 4 strategic divisions namely Pensions Management, Insurance Brokerage, Training and Actuarial Services.
Job Summary: The Fund Accountant is responsible for the accurate financial management, reporting of investment schemes and overseeing financial operations of schemes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Investment Accounting and Fund Accounts
- Preparation
- Reconciliation and Scheme Billing
- Tax Administration and accurate filing of tax returns
- Prepare audit data and Coordinate with auditors and scheme stakeholders to facilitate smooth audit progress
- File annual returns for schemes with UBRA
- File and follow up on Tax Compliance
- Certificates for schemes (TCC)
- Attend Board of Trustees meetings and present financial statements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts, Commerce, Finance, Mathematics or a Business-related field from a recognized institution.
- 4- 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least /ears in a Fund accounting.
- CPA or ACCA qualification is a must
