Prolific Innovations Limited is a youth-led social enterprise dedicated to empowering smallholder farmers across Uganda. We promote sustainable agriculture through organic fertilizer production, waste recycling, and farmer capacity building. Our flagship product, Vermi Power Organic Fertilizer, is transforming farming by improving soil health, increasing yields, and reducing dependency on chemical inputs.
Job Summary: We are seeking energetic and committed Field Agents to join our growing team. The Field Agent will be responsible for farmer mobilization, product promotion, data collection, and supporting agricultural training programs in assigned regions. The ideal candidate should be passionate about agriculture, skilled in fieldwork, and capable of building strong relationships with rural communities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Farmer Outreach: Identify and mobilize smallholder farmers, farmer groups, and youth interested in sustainable farming practices.
- Product Promotion: Market and sell Vermi Power Organic Fertilizer and other company products within assigned areas.
- Training Support: Organize and participate in farmer training sessions, demonstrations, and exhibitions on organic farming and waste recycling.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Collect data, record farmer feedback, and submit detailed weekly field activity reports.
- Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with farmers, local leaders, and agricultural stakeholders to enhance Prolific Innovations’ visibility.
- Sales & Distribution: Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely delivery of products to farmers and outlets.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, or a related field.
- Proven interest in organic farming and sustainable agriculture.
- Excellent communication, mobilization, and reporting
- Ability to work independently in field conditions and meet targets.
- Previous experience in sales, extension work, or community mobilization is an added advantage.
- Must be willing to travel and work in rural communities.
