Job Summary:
- Fully responsible for the offloading and loading operations at KRD in a safe manner as per the loading and offloading procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring cleanliness and tidiness
- Responsible for maintaining signed off records of daily tank gauging
- Responsible for conducting safe to offload inspection on the truck
- Responsible for loading accurate volumes as per the loading orders issued by the Supervisor
- Responsible for sealing all cylinders upon filling
- Responsible for ensuring completing quality inspection of lubricants before loading
- Responsible for weighing each bulk delivery truck before and after offloading and measuring product receipt by gauge movement
- Responsible for cleanliness of all cylinders and lubricants for dispatch into the market
- Responsible for ensuring all un-revalidated cylinders are not sent into the market
- Responsible for monitoring PPM in the Kampala Rubis Depot
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Security
- Ensuring safe working methods during manual handling
- Ensuring all delivery trucks conform to the Rubis standards and any non-conformances are captured and shared with the Consignment supervisor for escalation to avoid repeat cases
- Ensuring the tank farm is clean and vegetation free
- Ensuring PPE compliance of the support staff
- Ensure compliance with environmental requirements as per ISO 14001:2015 by completing tasks assigned and reporting timely.
Reporting
- Share with the Site Supervisor the Truck non-conformance list as and when nonconformances are observed
- Share with the Site Supervisor the log maintained for cylinder filling and lubricants offloaded
- Unsafe acts and / or conditions in the depot Yard
- Monitor, inspect and complete equipment checklists on DIMO for KRD; and report any anomalies to Depots Maintenance Engineer for closure.
Stock Management
- Maintain cylinder logs of refills
- Maintain log of cylinders sent for revalidation
- Daily stock counting and tracking of lubricants including spillages and expiries
- Application of FEFO for lubricants dispatch
- Attend to other duties as may be delegated by the Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma in Engineering or HSEQ or Supply and Logistics or any other relevant degree.
- Experience in Oil & Gas Industry is an added advantage.
- At least 1 years’ experience in a processing or packaging plant. Competencies and experience
- Product knowledge will be an added advantage
- Strong co-ordination skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Effective organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Must work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer skills in MS Word and Excel a must
Other
- Competency in written and spoken English language required
