Job Summary: To maintain and update the Business Intelligence unit database, gather data from the organization warehouse and other sources, drive team automation to reduce unit TAT and make reports needed to identify trends and patterns that support decision making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather business intelligence from a variety of sources including company database, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources.
- Assesses market strategies by analyzing related products, pricing, markets, or trends.
- Uses business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor current and potential opportunities.
- Maintain and keep an up-to-date Database that supports ad hoc information requests from stakeholders and reporting needs that support decision making.
- Drive automation of self-service dashboards within the unit that show trends and insights to support actionable recommendations and reduce TAT on information needs.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry and business trends in technology in relation to business intelligence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Oversee, mentor and guide assignments and activities of subordinates.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Statistics, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science.
- A masters/Certification in Business Intelligence /data analytics / related field is a plus
Skills
- Proficiency in BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau etc )
- Strong SQL and data Modeling Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
- Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
- Strong business analysis skills.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Thorough understanding of the company’s business processes/operations and the industry at large.
- Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Experience
- At least 3 years overall progressive experience in Business Intelligence, or data analytics roles working in a reputable organisation
- Experience with Cloud – based BI solutions and data platforms
