Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of Sponsorship Performance and Quality Assurance per WVI partnership standards
  • Manage all Sponsorship operations and reporting using sponsorship using Horizon.
  • Ensure RC Monitoring Status (CMS) is maintained within partnership standards.
  • Review all sponsorship correspondence for quality.
  • Ensure quality Sponsorship Operation Indicators (SOIs) are implemented and maintained within the partnership standard of 85%.
  • Update and track all correspondence through the Hope application.
  • Scan and upload all digital correspondences into RMT.
  • Ensure every RC records within Horizon and files are well updated, managed, and stored securely.
  • Facilitate timely processing and Management of all correspondence, Christmas cards, Sponsor letters, Annual Progressive Report, introductory letters, Support Office Queries, Gift Notifications within the partnership standard of 95%.
  • Mobilize and support RC families to adequately prepare for and manage sponsor visits.
  • Ensure that Sponsorship 2.0 Media Contents (Photos and Videos) are delivered according to the Partnership requirements and standards.
  • Facilitate Children, Volunteers, and stakeholders Sponsorship Basic Training and Sponsorship initiatives.
  • Ensure 102% supply and Management of the planned number of Registered Children in line with the Support Office commitment.
  • Hold monthly/quarterly meetings with the Community Volunteers Association, guardians/parents, and child protection committees to address findings from monitoring.
  • Implementation of Field Level Sponsorship initiatives & Innovations.
  • Sponsorship Planning, Implementation, and Reporting
  • Develop Annual Sponsorship Operational Plans, integrating 100% RCs participation.
  • Develop an integrated RC participation plan accommodating age appropriate IPF interventions.
  • Facilitate implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Sponsorship Operational Plan (SOP) planned activities.
  • Mobilize and facilitate periodical community engagements of stakeholders (RC guardians, RCs, and COVAs) focusing on child wellbeing.
  • Facilitate Community Volunteers Associations and partners in the monitoring of SOP activities.
  • Mobilize and facilitate active participation of children and their communities in planning, monitoring, and implementation of community development initiatives.
  • Facilitate RC participation within the CDPC, update and report on every RC participation and benefit following the partnership standards.
  • Support the collection, documentation, & Reporting of RC impact and success stories.
  • Facilitate establishment of child development and participation
  • Community engagement and Child Sponsorship education
  • Conduct community sensitizations, capacity building sessions on World Vision Sponsorship Model through Community Volunteer Associations, RC guardians, community leaders, and other established community groups and stakeholders.
  • Lead and support the formation and training of the Registered Children committees in the respective CPDC for their well-being.
  • Support and facilitate the children’s advisory committees to plan and hold meetings at all levels (School, village, parish, and sub-county) regularly.
  • Conduct periodical community engagement and advocacy sessions with integrated programme officers on case management based on the Child Wellbeing issues and sponsorship in programming
  • Mobilize communities to participate in planned annual children’s care and protection events.
  • Map out and build linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with partners and other stakeholders in implementation of Sponsorship operation and Protection plan at the Sub County an
  • Capacitate CVA working teams to identify key community Child protection issues and follow-up on commitments by leaders on improvement of the wellbeing of children in an IPF.
  • Mobilize and facilitate active participation of children and their communities in planning, monitoring, and implementation of community development initiatives.
  • Strengthening the Field Operating Model through Community Volunteer Associations.
  • Support the formation, mentoring, and functionality of the Community Volunteers Associations for implementation & Monitoring of Sponsorship operations deliverables and planned activities.
  • Building capacities of the Community Volunteers, adult RCs, and Children committees to manage Sponsorship operations and Media.
  • Support COVAs to mobilize, empower, and monitor RC households to participate and benefit from the technical programs within the APs development.
  • Facilitate and mentor Community Volunteer Associations to support SOP activity implementation and monitor the well-being of children’s wellbeing.
  • Community Led Care, Child Protection, Child Participation and Voice
  • Lead and facilitate the establishment and functionality of Child Development and Participation Centers for RCs within established AP institutions like schools, Faith-Based institutions, learning centers, and Health centers.
  • Support and facilitate periodical RC wellbeing engagements within the Child Development and Participation Centers, based on planned age-appropriate IPF/SFP activities, including annual events like DAC.
  • Manage and follow up on case management and report any incidents in line with child and adult safeguarding policy and guidelines.
  • Conduct periodic community sensitization on Child Protection, children’s rights, and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate capacity building for community structures and/or partners per developed capacity building plans/strategies.
  • Follow up and support trained community structures to ensure functionality.
  • Develop and update the database of trained stakeholders/ community structures periodically.
  • Ensure children are engaged in decision-making during IPF/SFP designs, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Function as the focal person for child protection in the AP, ensuring reporting and compliance with child protection standards.
  • Implement, monitor, and report on all planned core child protection activities within the IPF/SFP log frame interventions.
  • Establish functional Child Participation and Protection structures i.e., Children Councils, CPCs, CPDCs, Children Parliament etc.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Social work or any other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in community work and engagement with Sponsorship agencies and or in the NGO sector.
  • Required Professional Experience

  • Ability to communicate in applicable local language(s)
