Job Title: Child Development officer – SDR (CDO – Sponsor Donor Relations)

About Organisation:
Kisengwe Pentecostal Assemblies of God, Kakumiro District invites applications from suitably qualified mature born again Christians to serve in children’s ministry at the above church.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Christian role model for the children, their families and communities: working within
- ones influence to serve as an advocate for the Voiceless.
- Prepare & submit health related reports to the project Director and Church leadership as a means to monitor and evaluate the health program.
- Act as consultant on all health issues that affect children and the community by using his or her experience and expertise and equip the church on way of preventing diseases, immunization of children. Celebration of health days as well dealing with epidemics.
- Implements the day to-day running of the project health activities for the achievement of physical outcomes; carries out other critical roles for the smooth running of the project as a team Member.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Must be a born-again Christian who is a model in word, deed, lifestyle and demonstrates involvement in Church ministry.
- Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, Community Health, Nutrition, clinical medicine, Education & Social work related disciplines.
- Computer literate in MS Word, Excel & Power Point plus knowledge of Internet.
- A good steward, of high integrity, exhibiting confidentiality, good social skills & trusted by persons who prefer a non-intrusive lifestyle.
- Highly self-motivated to carry out Home-visits and group trainings that involve parents and their children in non-classroom settings.
- Should have a developmental mindset, ability to design and implement home-based interventions that are contextualized.
- Ability to design a stimulating environment for children using locally available resources/ materials.
- Experience / knowledge in Early Childhood (ECD), GOBIFFF components, maternal-child health intervention programs and social will be an added advantage.
- Age: 22-35.
Working conditions;
Shall work at a Local Church Project including home visits to beneficiaries to provide training and support. Travels for correspondence, conferences and trainings should be expected. Will sign and abide by a statement of commitment to child protection
