Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To support the Head of Strategy Enablement and Head Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) to implement programmes, projects and initiatives to enable strategy, achieve minimum standards of service, manage costs and achieve budgets, while continuously improving operational efficiency of the team with clear objectives and established tools. Responsibilities are aligned to the strategic objectives of the BCB.
- Coordinate cross-functional strategic projects and ensure alignment with BCB’s overall strategy. Prepare comprehensive briefing materials, presentations, and reports for MANCO, Board, EXCO, and other stakeholder forums, build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels and geographies
- Conduct internal and external research on strategic topics as required to inform decision-making. Enable strategic projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery against defined objectives
- Facilitate change management initiatives related to strategic interventions. Develop artifacts and materials required for successful execution of approved initiatives
- Create communication plans to promote understanding of strategy across all organizational levels. Track and monitor progress of strategic deliverables and KPIs, providing regular status updates and highlighting risks or issues
- Drive operational excellence through the development and maintenance of performance tracking tools and dashboards. Provide timely information and progress reports on strategy enablement initiatives
- Analyze business performance data and financial measures to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Integrate data from multiple sources to prepare fit-for-purpose management reports that monitor BCB performance
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- First Degree in a Business Related Course i.e. Commerce, Finance & Accounting.
- A Post Graduate Degree in Project Management is preferred.
- 3-4 years experience in managing projects to completion to achieve defined business objectives or metrics.
- 5-7 years experience in influencing stakeholders at different levels across a multiple of disciplines to achieve shared outcomes, specifically within a financial services environment.
