Job Summary: We are looking for an ambitious and results-oriented Business Development & Sales Intern – Uganda who will help us grow our impact footprint by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and developing compelling proposals and presentations that win clients and partnerships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate Opportunities: Identify, qualify, and pursue new business and partnership opportunities in sustainability, ESG, and development consulting.
  • Craft Winning Proposals: Develop persuasive proposals, concept notes, and sales presentations that clearly communicate SBC’s value proposition.
  • Engage Clients: Represent SBC in client meetings, networking events, and industry forums to build visibility and trust.
  • Drive Growth: Support the design and execution of business development strategies that expand SBC’s client base and revenue.
  • Research & Intelligence: Conduct market and sector research to identify trends, competitors, and funding prospects.
  • Collaborate for Impact: Work closely with the consulting and marketing teams to ensure client satisfaction and seamless project delivery.
  • Innovate & Inspire: Contribute ideas for new service offerings, products, and campaigns that align with market needs.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Strong writing and presentation skills -can turn ideas into clear, compelling proposals and decks.
  • A persuasive communicator with a confident, professional presence.
  • Previous experience (internship or work) in business development, proposal writing, sales, fundraising, or communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Curious and proactive mindset with strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
  • A genuine passion for sustainability, climate action, and inclusive growth.
