Job Summary: The Associate – Quality and Hygiene is responsible for supporting activities to ensure the highest quality of hygiene and food safety in all areas of operations within the store.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Oversee sanitation procedures and personal hygiene practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems such as GMP, HACCP.
- Accurately record inspection results, hygiene audits, and corrective actions to support traceability and compliance.
- Participate in internal and external audits, and help prepare necessary reports and follow-up on findings.
- Report quality or hygiene deviations and support investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support hygiene and quality training sessions to promote awareness and compliance among staff.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure consistent product quality and hygienic standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Microbiology or equivalent.
- 2 years in food quality control, retail experience is a plus.
- Certifications required: HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, FSSC 22000.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.
