BAYIMBA (Cultural Foundation) was established in June 2006 (followed by formal registration on the 27th of November 2007) following a comprehensive exploration of the state of arts and culture in Uganda and East Africa. The organization sought to bring about change in the status quo of arts and culture in Uganda and East Africa: envisioning a vibrant sector that is creative, professional and viable and contributes to social and economic development, it embarked on a deliberate effort to uplift the standards of arts and culture.

Job Summary: The Organization is seeking highly skilled and motivated Marketing, IT, and Communications Coordinator to support the organization’s marketing, IT, and communications needs. The successful candidate will develop and implement marketing strategies, manage IT systems, and coordinate communications to promote Bayimba’s programs and services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing:

Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Bayimba’s programs and services
Manage social media accounts, website, and other marketing channels.
Create marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and press releases.

IT:

Manage and maintain Bayimba’s IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support to staff.
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect Bayimba’s data and systems.

Communications:

Develop and implement communications strategies to promote Bayimba’s programs and services.
Manage internal and external communications, including email, phone, and mail.
Coordinate events, workshops, and other activities to promote Bayimba’s programs and services.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Diploma or degree in Marketing, IT, and Communication or a related field.
At least 1-2 years of experience in Marketing and Communication, program coordination or a related field.
Strong knowledge of marketing principles, IT, and communication strategies.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in marketing software, IT systems and communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with youth or vulnerable groups.
Familiarity with Ugandan market and culture context.
Certificate in marketing, IT, and communication or related field.
