Job Summary: As Manager Partnerships & Fundraising, you are the driving force behind our resource mobilisation and external engagement efforts in Uganda. You turn strategy into action — securing funding, cultivating partnerships, and expanding our visibility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
You will:
Fundraising & External Communication
- Identify and map diverse local and international funding opportunities (embassies, foundations, NGOs, CSR funds, etc.).
- Lead the grant application process by translating existing project plans into tailored, compelling proposals that align with donor priorities and requirements.
- Build and maintain strong donor relationships through ongoing communication, including newsletters and networking events.
- Oversee and strengthen GG Uganda’s digital presence (website and social media).
Strategic Leadership & Representation
- Represent GG Uganda in high-level external forums (embassies, development agencies, private sector).
- Maintain and expand strategic partnerships (e.g., ILO, GIZ, ENABEL).
- Serve as the public face and ambassador of GG Uganda’s mission and impact.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Set clear fundraising targets aligned with GG’s vision and track progress towards results.
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements and internal standards.
- Deliver timely, high-quality reports to funders and stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in fundraising and partnership development.
- Strong communication and representation skills – confident engaging with donors, government, and the private sector.
- Experience with writing grant proposals and managing donor relations.
- Familiarity with communication, CRM systems, social media, and structured documentation.
