Job Summary:
- Drive lubricants sales. Execute Sales and Marketing activities, after sales product support. Accountable for sales volume and profit margin.
- Manage Lubricants sales in commercial and industrial sectors.
- Oversee customer requirement/forecasts and gathering of competitors activities to ensure an overall winning position.
- Oversee and recommend credit and maintain control over outstanding [account receivables] for customers.
- Coordinates and conducts training seminars for core bulk customers
- Job dimensions (budget responsibility, staff, facilities, estimated value of total business overseen)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Secure and maintain business in Industrial, Commercial and Institutions
- Secure profitable accounts in Industrial, Commercial and Institutions for Lubricants
- Maintain customer relationship.
- Prepare and submit supply proposals to new accounts.
- Liaise with the team in marketing to ensure business plan goals are achieved
- Respond effectively to customer requirements.
Manage Customer collection and receivables
- Ensure all business transactions are done as per company policy.
- Reinforce cash business and secured credits.
- Collect all receivables on time.
- Ensure all open credit customers comply with company policy.
Prepare and submit on time product forecast
- Submit accurate product forecast to Logistics Coordinator
- Evaluate monthly customer requirements.
- Monitor stock levels of products and ensure product availability.
- Ensure no product will become slow mover.
- Prepare and update marketing intelligence report and customer database
- Prepare customer database with monthly update.
- Identify competitor activities, their customers, prices.
- Coordinate advertisement & promotion requirement and budget for Uganda
- Responding effectively to market needs /trends
Develop Capability
- Attend all available training and utilize the benefits for company growth.
- Conduct customer training.
- Liaise with Trading Supplies and Operations and Fleet Logistics (U) Ltd to ensure smooth supply to customers.
- Supervise Technical services to customers.
- Liaise with Management and Support departments to ensure Business Plan Goals are archived and the company Image is maintained.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Minimum Educational (or other qualifications) required
- University Degree in Engineering/Business Administration
- Professional Qualification in Marketing.
- At least 3 – 5 years relevant experience in sales and Marketing
