Job Summary: On behalf of Our client in the E-bike Transport Sector, we are looking for competent and experienced Logistics Manager to be based in Kampala.

The Logistics Manager shall coordinate and manage the logistics and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, optimizing costs while complying with regulatory requirements within Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Planning & Coordination:

  • Develop and implement efficient logistics plans to support operations.
  • Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities within Uganda and across borders if applicable.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement.

Transportation & Shipping:

  • Organize and oversee local and international shipments.
  • Liaise with transporters, freight forwarders, and customs agents.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with Ugandan customs and import/export regulations.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and clearance paperwork.

Supplier & Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Generate regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and challenges.
  • Analyze data to recommend process improvements.

Team Management (if applicable):

  • Supervise logistics staff and provide training where necessary.
  • Promote a culture of safety and efficiency.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2-5 years) in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably in Uganda or East Africa.
  • Strong knowledge of Ugandan customs regulations and local transport systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
