Job Summary: The Legal Manager will lead the Company’s legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance and sound corporate governance. This role oversees contracts, disputes, regulatory engagement, and corporate secretarial functions, providing practical solutions that balance risk and opportunity while safeguarding the Company’s reputation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, joint ventures, leases, mortgages and financing arrangements, and strategic partnerships.
- Anticipate, identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks, ensuring robust frameworks to safeguard the Company’s interests.
- Provide legal opinions advice on legal
- Lead the management of disputes, litigation and regulatory engagement , including oversight of external counsel where required.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and corporate governance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide policies, legal procedures, and compliance programs aligned with industry’s best practice.
- Oversee corporate secretarial functions, including Board meetings, resolutions, and shareholder
- Drive training and capacity building across departments to strengthen legal and compliance awareness.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor in laws (LLB)
- Three years of experience
