Job Summary: Exquisite Solution Limited, a leading HR firm, seeks an HSE Officer for our client in the manufacturing industry. The role involves implementing and overseeing HSE programs to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will help drive a strong safety culture and reduce operational risks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the development and ongoing improvement of QHSE management systems.
- Coordinate regular OHS meetings, including incident reviews and implementation of corrective actions.
- Assist in creating and executing training plans for OH&S, EMS, and QMS teams.
- Monitor outsourced services (pest control, PPE cleaning, signage) for quality and contract compliance.
- Identify and advise on proper hazardous waste disposal.
- Conduct monthly waste inspections and ensure valid waste disposal certificates are maintained.
- Assist in investigating workplace incidents and accidents, track trends, and support preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records, meeting minutes, and reports for management use.
- Guide staff on completing LD 31 workers’ compensation forms.
- Enforce HSE compliance for all employees and visitors on site.
- Share regular internal health and safety communications.
- Lead safety orientation sessions for new staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification or Diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management from a recognized body (e.g., NEBOSH).
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing, paint, or chemical industries.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety hazards in industrial settings.
- Familiarity with QMS, EMS, and OHS standards and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to coach teams and deliver effective presentations.
- Sound understanding of industrial relations and workplace dynamics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Basic knowledge of First Aid and Fire Safety procedures.
