As part of our commitment to developing young professionals, SCI is offering a Graduate Trainee Programme aimed at providing recent graduates with practical experience in finance. The programme equips trainees with essential skills in financial management, budgeting and reporting, and partnership management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- File & ensure safe custody of documents in a manner that enables easy retrieval both in the archives and Document management system (DMS).
- Support the accountant to prepare General Ledger (GLACOS) files.
- Retrieve audit, VAT etc. documents as required for reporting purposes.
- Support the senior accountant on monthly effort reporting.
- Assist in preparing journal entries for cost reclassification.
- Providing support in tax filing and documentation.
- Verification of expenditure documentation.
- Execute any other relevant tasks as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
To be a strong supporter and advocate for children in this role you will need to have:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in commerce (BCOM), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA-Accounting), Bachelor of Science in Accounting or any other related field. Candidates should have graduated not more than two (2) years at the time of applying.
- Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.
- Skills in Microsoft excel and word skills.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
