BAYIMBA (Cultural Foundation) was established in June 2006 (followed by formal registration on the 27th of November 2007) following a comprehensive exploration of the state of arts and culture in Uganda and East Africa. The organization sought to bring about change in the status quo of arts and culture in Uganda and East Africa: envisioning a vibrant sector that is creative, professional and viable and contributes to social and economic development, it embarked on a deliberate effort to uplift the standards of arts and culture.
Job Summary: The Organization is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fashion Coordinator to support the Fashion Skilling and Training program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of the program, managing participant onboarding and profiles, tracking budget expenditures, and collecting data.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Programme Implementation:
- Ensure the Fashion Skilling and Training program is implemented according to plan.
- Coordinate with trainers, mentors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality training.
Participants Onboarding and Management:
- Onboard participants to the program, ensuring they have a smooth transition.
- Manage participant profiles, including tracking progress, attendance, and feedback.
Budget Management:
- Track and manage budget expenditures for the program, ensuring financial sustainability.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to the Program Manager.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data on program participants, including demographics, progress, and outcomes.
- Use data to inform program improvements and report on program impact.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with stakeholders, including participants, trainers, and industry partners.
- Foster relationships with industry partners to support program goals
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Management, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in fashion industry, program coordination, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fashion industry trends, skills, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with youth or vulnerable groups.
- Familiarity with Ugandan fashion industry and market trends.
- Certification in fashion design, management, or a related field.
