Job Title: Farm Manager

About Organisation:
Relexa Systems Limited in Kyanamukaka Masaka District is seeking to recruit a farm manager with broad experience in agriculture and livestock, particularly in Coffee, Matooke, Dairy and Poultry raring.
Job Summary: The role includes strong business decision making, and operations management of the daily farm activities. The scope of work includes, management of existing operations, crops, livestock, staffing and financial documents and recommending improvements. Preparing weekly and monthly plans including budgets to support the operations. Scheduling for planting, weed control, pruning, harvesting and stocking. And overseeing multiple farm operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The key responsibilities include:
- Generation of short term and long-term activity plans
- Supervision of farm labour resources
- Generation of weekly and monthly farm reports
- Managing farm inventory and stocks
- Maximising farm productivity and profitability
- Crop and livestock best practices
- Management of a ledger for farm expenses and income.
- Management of the operation and maintenance of farm equipment
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Diploma in agriculture or related field with at least 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
- A higher diploma or degree will be an added advantage.
- Must have full understanding of crop production cycles and sustainable agriculture practices.
- Computer knowledge particularly proficiency in MS Word and Excel is a must.
Remuneration is negotiable.
Candidate must be willing to stay at the farmhouse provided.
