In Uganda, FH is operational in the Districts of Adjumani, Kitgum, Lamwo, Kole, Kween, Mbale, Namutumba and Amudat Districts implementing programs in four main sectors of Education; Food Security and Livelihoods; Health/Nutrition and Disaster Risk Reduction; with the Head office located in Kampala.

 

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Logistics and Procurement Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of front office administrative functions and ensuring cleanliness across the office premises. She/he will act as the office steward, overseeing the proper use and custody of office property and supplies. The role includes performing general clerical duties, managing the office phone for official communication, and maintaining up-to-date personnel records. Additionally, the Assistant will support the logistics department in the effective management of stores. A high level of confidentiality and professionalism is essential for this role. The Assistant will also perform other related tasks as assigned.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: As the Administrative Assistant your overall responsibilities will be (JDs Key Result Areas):

  • Customer care and front desk management
  • Admin, Asset and Stores management
  • Staff data management and Welfare
  • General Office Management

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • At least two years of relevant progressive experience in an administrative function within an NGO.
  • Customer care certificate is an added advantage.
  • Education/Certifications
  • Bachelor in Office and Information management, Stores management, Counseling, Social Work and Administration, procurement and logistics or other related disciplines from a recognized institute.
