Job Summary: As an Account Relationship Manager, you are the crucial link between NFT Consult, our clients, and the outsourced employees we manage. Your primary mission is to build and nurture long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our clients, ensuring we not only meet but exceed their expectations as per our service level agreements (SLAs).
This is a dual-focused position that requires both strategic account management and commercial acumen. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of client accounts, from employee placement and ongoing performance management to payroll support. A key part of your role will be to drive revenue growth by proactively identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our services, helping clients expand their workforce and adopt additional solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships by consistently communicating, understanding their business needs, and ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Serve as the key operational interface between the client and our cross-functional teams. Proactively manage all project-related action items, provide regular updates to clients, and ensure strict adherence to all contractual SLAs.
- Performance and People Management: Oversee the performance of contracted employees on behalf of our clients. Address their needs, manage any performance issues, and ensure a smooth working relationship between the client and the outsourced team.
- Legal & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all client-related HR practices and operations are in full compliance with the Uganda Employment Act, 2006, and other relevant labor laws.
- HR Audits: Conduct and support basic HR audits for client accounts, reviewing employee files, contracts, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Business Growth & Sales: Drive revenue growth within your accounts by proactively generating sales, upselling additional headcount, and cross-selling other NFT Consult services. You will be expected to meet and exceed annual sales targets.
- Strategic Planning: Conduct market research to identify trends in outsourcing, understand competitor activity, and discover opportunities for strategic account management and business development.
- Recruitment & Sourcing: Proactively build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to meet and anticipate client staffing requirements.
- Solution Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of NFT Consult’s solutions, from client onboarding to ongoing service delivery, ensuring all aspects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in Account/Relationship Management, Sales, and/or Project Management. Experience in the HR, recruitment, or business process outsourcing industry is highly preferred.
- Legal & Compliance Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Ugandan employment law, particularly the Employment Act, 2006.
- HR Auditing: Foundational understanding of HR audit principles and best practices, with the ability to review documentation and identify compliance risks.
- Relationship Management: You must be a natural at building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Commercial Acumen: You must possess strong business development and sales skills, with the drive and tenacity to consistently seek out and close new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Proactive & Strategic Thinking: An innovator with the initiative to start and own projects from scratch, and the ability to think strategically about a client’s business to drive mutual success.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
