Job Summary: The Tour Consultant will be responsible for designing and selling travel packages (local, regional, and international), advising clients on destinations and experiences, and ensuring smooth trip execution from inquiry to post-travel follow-up.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to understand their travel needs and preferences.
- Prepare and present customized itineraries and travel quotations.
- Manage bookings for accommodation, transport, activities, and tours.
- Liaise with suppliers and partners to ensure quality service delivery.
- Handle client inquiries promptly via email, phone, and social media.
- Maintain accurate client records using the company CRM system.
- Provide pre-travel advice and on-trip support to clients.
- Promote company tours, special offers, and new destinations on various platforms.
- Contribute to marketing campaigns and client acquisition strategies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Tourism, Travel Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tour operations or travel consulting.
- Strong knowledge of East African and international destinations.
- Excellent marketing, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Social media and digital marketing skills are an added advantage.
