Bolt is a European mobility super-app that offers a range of on-demand transportation and delivery services as alternatives to private car ownership. It provides ride-hailing, shared scooters and bikes, and food and grocery delivery services, with the goal of building better cities by reducing car usage.

Job Summary: We’re looking for a sharp, data-driven and execution-oriented Senior Operations Specialist to support and drive key operational pillars in Uganda — Marketplace Performance, Rider Growth, Driver Growth, and Driver Engagement.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape city performance through strategic planning, execution, and continuous performance improvement.

You’ll be responsible for managing city-level targets, supporting onboarding and reactivation of drivers, improving marketplace quality (surge, ETA, SC), and helping drive rider and driver loyalty.

This is a hands-on role with a strong balance of analytical depth, commercial instinct, and operational excellence.

hat you can expect

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, report, and act on key metrics such as ETA, Search Coverage, Surge, Utilisation, and Finish Rate
  • Own weekly city-level performance reviews and proactively identify areas for improvement
  • Drive growth in Scheduled Rides, Bolt Send, and High-Value Categories (e.g. Comfort, XL)
  • Manage scout activations, funnel quality, and lead tracking to ensure we meet monthly supply targets
  • Lead monthly booster events and regular driver roundtables in Kampala and key towns
  • Implement ongoing training and comms to improve driver experience and retention

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • 4–7 years of experience in operations, logistics, mobility, or marketplace businesses
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel/Sheets and operational dashboards
  • Proactive, structured, and comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Confident communicator — able to work with field teams, BPOs, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Passion for mobility, rider and driver experience, and solving real-world problems
  • Ideally experienced in working in or leading in Uganda or similar markets
