Job Summary: The Sales Team Leader will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of sales agents to achieve set sales targets and grow the branch’s portfolio. This role focuses on driving business growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring the sales team meets performance expectations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Source, interview, and onboard qualified sales agents.
- Organize induction and product training sessions for new agents.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Supervise and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Monitor and evaluate performance through regular field visits and reporting.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and continuous development opportunities for sales agents.
Business Growth & Portfolio Development
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the branch’s sales portfolio.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target market.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Sales Strategy & Reporting
- Track sales activities and prepare performance reports for management.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to guide sales strategies.
- Recommend improvements to sales processes and marketing campaigns.
Brand Promotion & Networking
- Represent the company at community and business events to promote products and services.
- Work with marketing teams to coordinate promotions and campaigns.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office applications.
