Job Summary: To conceptualize, plan for and produce TV programmes that educate, inform, entertain and earn revenue for Nation Media Group Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize programme ideas and come up with a storyboard and scripts for internal/external broadcasts and for clients.
- Create the overall aesthetic visual presentation and branding of assigned shows while following the programme guidelines and concept.
- Plans production with crew, clients, decides schedules and timelines.
- Liaises with the technical staff to produce raw footage for editing in conformity with the programme concept and client brief.
- Monitor in-house creative and technical units in the development, production and post-production of programmes.
- Create and manage the production budget of the assigned programme.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Academic: University degree in Mass Communication or any related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional: Diploma in TV Production is added advantage.
- Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of production experience with emphasis on Television production

- Passion for writing documentary and Reality TV shows
- Possesses broad knowledge of local, regional and International issues and/or depth knowledge
- Ability to work accurately & under pressure
- Deadline driven
- Computer Literate
- Must have a good eye for detail
- Must be able to deal effectively with simultaneous tasks
- Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a unique skills set in managing digital media television production workflow systems.
