Job Summary: As Procurement Officer, you will play a critical role in streamlining procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective and timely sourcing of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and supporting the rollout of SAP S/4HANA and Esker. You will collaborate across departments to deliver value-driven procurement solutions that enhance business performance and foster organizational trust.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute procurement activities aligned with departmental needs and budgets.
- Lead internal bids and transparent sourcing practices.
- Monitor and manage supplier contracts and relationships.
- Oversee inventory and asset disposal compliance.
- Ensure alignment with Uganda’s procurement regulations and internal policies.
- Drive ERP transition support for procurement functions (SAP S/4HANA & Esker).
- Provide timely procurement reports and data-driven insights.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- CIPS Level 4 (or higher) is a strong advantage.
- At least 5 years of progressive procurement experience.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA and Esker platforms.
- Knowledge of Uganda’s procurement laws and regulatory landscape.
- Strong negotiation, inventory control, contract management, and reporting skills.
