About Organisation:
The Bank of Uganda (BoU) is the Central Bank of the Republic of Uganda. It was opened on the 15th August 1966. It is 100% owned by the Government of Uganda but it is not a government Department. Bank of Uganda conducts all its activities in close association with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED). Bank of Uganda is responsible for monetary policy and maintaining price stability.
Job Summary: To manage all official BOU’s websites internal and external (BOU website, Intranet).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop system specifications for changes to the BOU websites to address customer needs.
- Redevelop or upgrade the BOU website and Intranet based on latest web development technologies.
- Ensure integrity of the bank’s online presence (intranet and extranet) through monitoring webservers and their performance to ensure high availability.
- Implement patching of application of the BOU Website and Intranet based upon security scan recommendations.
- Administer administration of access (access controls) to the applications.
- Provide technical documentation on installation, configuration procedures for
- maintenance of the BOU website and intranet.
- Provide 2nd Level support to the bank website and Intranet. These may include but not limited to attending to incidents and conducting routine backups.
- Facilitate the integration of the bank website to the Datawarehouse. This comprises Design, development of data collection tools, provision of dashboards and
- implementing periodic enhancements as maybe required.
- Manage department projects following PRINCE2 Project or AGILE development frameworks.
- Provide support to business intelligence applications.
- Automation all Bank Wide Surveys to include but not limited to feedback/ customer satisfaction surveys and further gather, analyse, and document analytics to proactively address performance.
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A First Class or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology.
- Certification in Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, Certified Webmaster Professional (CWP) or related relevant field are an added advantage.

- Extensive knowledge in Content Management Systems
- Certification Adobe Creative Suite 6 (CS6) or above
- Knowledge of SQL and SQL query optimization

- Capacity building in Open CMS, OCEE and Skilling in MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure. required for expertise in cloud technologies.
