Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Logistics Handling Operations Administrator – Bonds to manage and oversee the company’s bond-related activities accurately and timely.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate updates are done in the customs bonds management system.
- Prepare and give daily Customs bond status report.
- Handle daily follow up and updates from various departments and Branches for Customs bond related information/documentation.
- Confirm cancellation and reconciliation of all transit bonds, manifest accountability to customs
- Lodge letters and follow up on responses with URA, DPC and other respective regulatory bodies.
- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements related to bonds.
- Address and resolve queries with the regulatory authorities – URA regarding bonds.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A university degree in Transport and Logistics Management OR any other related course.
- East African Customs and Freight Forwarding certificate is desirable
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a reputable organization in a similar field.
- Must be able to keep deadlines all the time with minimal supervision.
- High integrity, self-driven and able to set own work schedule with rigorous deadlines.
- Must have effective communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
- Demonstrable aptitude for teamwork.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
