About Organisation:
Government of Uganda through Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development is funding and implementing the Mineral Regulation Infrastructure Project The project is aimed at increasing adoption and use of appropriate and affordable technology along the mineral value chain It also aims at strengthening the legal and regulatory framework as well as the human and institutional capacity of the mineral Development programme which align with the NDPIV objectives.
Job Summary: To prepare samples for geochemical and palynological analysis
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Storing of geological samples in the core store
- Assisting in the maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment
- Preparing geochemical and palynological samples for analysis
- Participating in the analysis of geochemical and bio stratigraphic data
- Participating n field sampling/survey programs.
- Participating in management of Geochemical and palynological data
- Assisting in maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Ordinary Diploma in Laboratory technology. Geological. Geochemical Sciences or any other related discipline from a recognized training institution/university.
