About Organisation:
The Bank of Uganda (BoU) is the Central Bank of the Republic of Uganda. It was opened on the 15th August 1966. It is 100% owned by the Government of Uganda but it is not a government Department. Bank of Uganda conducts all its activities in close association with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED). Bank of Uganda is responsible for monetary policy and maintaining price stability.
Job Summary: To implement new systems and upgrade existing infrastructure to support the Bank’s IT operations. This role involves planning, designing, and executing infrastructure projects ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and implement new IT infrastructure projects to meet the Bank’s operational needs.
- Upgrade and enhance existing infrastructure to improve performance, security, and reliability.
- Manage infrastructure projects ensuring they are completed within the set timelines, budget, quality, and scope.
- Implement and maintain security measures for infrastructure projects ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure designs, changes, and project plans.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and effective support and project delivery.
- Ensure infrastructure projects comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader Systems Infrastructure from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A First or Upper Second-Class degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Professional certifications in network management (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+), IT Service Management (ITIL), Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), Microsoft Certified: Azure Cloud Associate, MCITP, MCTS, or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
Work Experience:
- At least five (5) years of relevant working experience in infrastructure development and project management.
Age:
- 30.0 – 38.0 years of age as at close of the advert.
