Job Summary: The Partnerships Officer is responsible for operationally managing and developing strategic partnerships to enhance Nation Media Groups reach, funding, and community engagement. This role includes supporting the preparation and execution of funding proposals, monitoring and evaluating partnership activities, and establishing frameworks that leverage partnerships as key enablers for business growth and social impact. Additionally, the officer will provide support for the Nation Media Foundation’s initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Partnership Operations & Management

  • Assist in identifying and engaging strategic partners aligned with NMGs goals.
  • Coordinate partnership-related activities to ensure smooth implementation, tracking deliverables, and maintaining strong partner relations.
  • Support partner liaison efforts to foster ongoing collaboration and engagement.

Funding Proposal Support

  • Lead the compilation of information and assist in preparing funding proposals for grants, sponsorships, and other funding opportunities.
  • Monitor the progress of proposals from submission to funding disbursement. Track deadlines, required documentation, and reporting obligations.

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)

  • Support the implementation of M&E frameworks for partnership and Foundation projects.
  • Collect data, prepare progress reports, and analyze impact outcomes. Use M&E insights to improve operational efficiency and strengthen partnership effectiveness.

Framework & Process Implementation

  • Assist in rolling out partnership management frameworks and operational procedures.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with organizational policies in all partnership activities.
  • Help develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for partnership engagement and Foundation initiatives.

Support for Nation Media Foundation

  • Provide operational support for the Foundation’s CSR projects and initiatives. Coordinate with Foundation teams to monitor project implementation and report on social impact.
  • Facilitate partnerships that support Foundation programs and community engagement efforts.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of partnership and Foundation activities, proposals, and evaluation reports.
  • Prepare internal updates and external reports on partnership and Foundation progress. Document lessons learned and best practices to inform future partnership strategies.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, finance, and Corporate Affairs teams to align partnership activities with the media house’s strategic objectives. Support capacity-building efforts across departments related to partnership management. Facilitate communication between partners, Foundation stakeholders, and internal teams.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Business Development, community development or related fields.
  • Minimum of four years experience in partnership management, CSR, grants management, or operational support at a media house or similar organization.
  • Strong background in proposal writing, monitoring & evaluation, and partnership administration.
  • Familiarity with CSR activities, media industry operations, and community engagement.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and relationship management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project tracking, and M&E tools
