Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To deliver the Annual Operating Plan objectives by supporting the sales and marketing functions through developing, executing customer/result driven communication strategy, in line with the overall brand/business strategy;
  • Developing, executing and protecting customer brand love.
  • Prioritizing and focusing on high revenue, high awareness activities to ensure optimal trial and subsequent usage of the airtel brand.
  • Ensure optimum brand awareness through achieving target share of Voice.
  • Drive credible and positive take-out from all brand related communication.
  • Relate all brand communication to the airtel brand identity and philosophy i.e. comply with airtel corporate identity.
  • Create and drive new unique communication channels
  • Benchmark airtel brand communication initiatives positively against competition
  • Developing relevant, clear & easy to understand communication that drives consumers to make Airtel their first choice.
  • Manage the creative direction of local communication initiatives to be in line with the brand guidelines.
  • Investigate, recommend and execute point of sale initiatives to drive understanding of brand offers and subsequent products uptake.
  • Ensure conformity of all point of sale initiatives and material to brand guidelines and corporate identity standards.
  • Ensure relevance of all communication initiatives in the market and at the point of sale.
  • Ensure complete understanding of the airtel brand culture and philosophy in all customer constituencies.
  • Social media and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Focus on driving take rates and managing cost.
  • Budgeting/Service level agreement management and efficiency.
  • Team management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • MBA in Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication or related discipline.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication or MBA in Marketing.
  • Professional Qualifications in advertising, Marketing & Communication will be an added advantage.
  • 8-10 years of work experience in similar industry / organization; some work experience in advertising agency will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years in Management role.
