Job Title: Facilitator – 3 Positions – Bakery, Art and Crafts, Videography and Photography

Job Summary: HODARI Foundation is seeking skilled and passionate facilitators to lead training sessions for refugee youths under DiscoverMe Phase II project . The goal is to equip them with practical skills that can lead to independent income generation and business development. Each facilitator will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive training curriculum in their area of expertise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare a detailed training curriculum and materials for a specified period (e.g., 3-6 months).
- Deliver engaging and practical training sessions to participants.
- Provide hands-on, one-on-one guidance and mentorship to students.
- Assess the progress of participants and provide constructive feedback.
- Work closely with the HF team to ensure the training aligns with the organization’s goals.
- Assist participants in developing small business plans or portfolios to utilize their new skills.
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records for all students.
- Report regularly on training activities, challenges, and successes to the Programs Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in either Videography and Photography, Bakery, or Art and Crafts. A strong portfolio or business history in the relevant field is a plus.
- Prior experience in teaching, training, or mentoring is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for empowering vulnerable populations.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and skill levels.
- A commitment to the mission and values of the HF
- Understanding community languages such as swahili, Kinyabwish or kinyarwanda is a plus
- Refugees based in Kyaka II and people living with disability are highly encouraged to apply
