Africa Global Logistics Uganda (AGLU) is seeking a Compliance Officer to support the implementation of our Group Compliance Program and uphold our strong ethical standards across operations. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Local Anti-Corruption Committee by organizing meetings, tracking compliance documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
- Lead training and awareness initiatives on anti-corruption, Code of Conduct, and third-party due diligence.
- Maintain compliance registers (gifts, conflicts of interest, sponsorships) and ensure reporting KPIs are met.
- Assist in risk mapping and due diligence for third-party suppliers and customers.
- Prepare and organize documentation for audits and support corrective action plans.
- Conduct international sanctions checks and escalate critical red flags where needed.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Postgraduate training in Compliance, Risk Management, or Ethics is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance, audit, or risk-related roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of anti-corruption laws, compliance frameworks, and risk management processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Experience with learning management systems (eg Syfadis, Academy) is desirable.
