Job Summary: Major role of the ESH officer is to ensure compliance, prevent and eliminate injury and sickness to the employees.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To assist the company to comply with safety laws in systematic and organized approach.
  • Periodically inspect workplace and machinery to minimize or eliminate potential hazards such as, wrong working methods, high noise levels, contaminated drinking water, polluted air quality or toxic chemicals etc.
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Identify, develop and carryout relevant safety-related training programs.
  • Keep record of safety-related accidents within a particular time frame.
  • Recommend appropriate protective equipment that workers should wear while carrying out tasks.
  • Supervise the installation of potentially harmful equipment and the disposal of hazardous substances.
  • Stop the continuation of processes that are deemed harmful to the health of workers.
  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
  • Review existing safety policies and update them where necessary.
  • Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Assess possible risks and ensure that preventive measures are taken.
  • Ensure waste management is done in an appropriate manner.
  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required

Work Experience

  • 3 years of related experience and in a similar industry; FMCG
  • Desired profile
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Training and Presentation skills.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
