About Organisation:
The Bank of Uganda (BoU) is the Central Bank of the Republic of Uganda. It was opened on the 15th August 1966. It is 100% owned by the Government of Uganda but it is not a government Department. Bank of Uganda conducts all its activities in close association with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED). Bank of Uganda is responsible for monetary policy and maintaining price stability.
Job Summary: To manage and maintain the Bank’s enterprise systems ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise applications and systems to support the Bank’s IT operations effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise systems configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Continuously monitor enterprise systems performance, identify issues, and perform troubleshooting to resolve problems.
- Implement and maintain security measures for enterprise systems, including access controls and data protection.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and effective support and maintenance.
- Ensure enterprise systems operations comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide technical support for enterprise systems-related issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader Systems Infrastructure from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A First or Upper Second degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Professional certifications in network management (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, IT Service Management (ITIL), Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Work Experience:
- At least five (5) years of relevant working experience in enterprise systems engineering.
Age:
- 30.0 – 38.0 years of age as at close of the advert.
