Company Overview:
Our client in the Energy Sector seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and results-oriented individual for the vacancy above. As an electricity distributor, our client is licensed to distribute and supply electricity to customers. This mandate involves; operation, maintenance and upgrade of electricity distribution infrastructure, electricity retail and provision of related services. The sector is regulated by the Electricity Regulatory Authority, whose mandate includes setting operating standards and appropriate end-user tariffs.
Job Summary: The Revenue Protection Analyst will support in analyzing data and reporting. The candidate will utilize data analysis tools to identify patterns and trends that will inform management decisions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use data trend analysis to identify any anomalies that need to be resolved.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure anomalies are quickly resolved.
- Use the data collected to profile customers by category and activity as well as develop a foundational database to support analytics
- Compare profiles of customers flagged by the system with normal profiles to identify anomalous behavior.
- Offer analytical data to support investigation and prosecution of power theft and revenue default.
- Conduct statistical trend analysis to support revenue protection initiatives.
- Support the preparation of relevant daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Actively participate in building capacity and knowledge share on energy loss analytics for other company staff members.
- Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor of Statistics, data science, or any qualification related to data analysis
- 2-3 years experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent Microsoft excel skills
- Good SQL skills
- Computer programming knowledge is an added advantage.
