Job Summary: The Credit Supervisor Monitoring and Reporting will report to the Credit Administration Manager and will be based at Head office. He/ she will responsible for monitoring and reviewing the growth and quality of the credit portfolio quality and coordinate preparation of relevant credit, Finance & statutory reports in line with credit policy and department work plan.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include:
- Contribute to providing analysis on the performance of the credit portfolio and make recommendations to management for remedial action.
- Coordinate the process of identification of credit facilities due for write off, liaise with branches to collect information, prepare report for management approval and ensure that accounts for write off are correctly posted in line with credit policy.
- Identify risk factors, drivers, conduct risk assessment and propose risk management/mitigation strategies.
- Review and analyse all management information system related issues raised by branches, recommend remedial action, seek management1 s approval thereof and coordinate resolution in liaison with BT and Branches in line with Credit policy.
- Prepare and be accountable for stress testing calculations to evaluate resilience of the bank portfolio to adverse economic conditions. Monitor and analyse the different portfolios of the Bank to notify on changes of their risk profile and report changes to Management for further action/analysis.
- Attend to customer complaints referred from branches and customer service.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors for smooth facilitation of their work, peruse through the Branch auditors’ reports, identify audit findings, proactively escalate and follow up on issues raised thereof in line with Credit policy.
- Responsible for the preparation of the Credit management reports, Finance & statutory reports.
- Responsible for the preparation of the loan loss provisions reports i.e. Subjective provisions report, Cash flow estimates for all non-performing credit facilities for objective and subjective categories.
- Responsible for the preparation of the credit facility guarantee reports required by the donor partners and ensure timely submissions in line with the credit policy.
- Review the MIS critical reports, identify anomalies/issues and follow up with branches and track to ensure resolution.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- At least 4 years’ credit experience in a financial institution.
- Ability to build functioning working relationships across organizational, corporate, and cultural boundaries.
- Excellent at Stake holder engagement
- Very good understanding of the credit business.
- Proficiency in Ms Word, Ms Excel & Ms Power Point.
- Experience at Supervisory level in a Financial Institution is an added advantage.
